Prota Designed Mazidagi Phosphate Plant Started Its Operations

Being the biggest private sector investment in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, Mazidagi Phosphate Plant started its operations. Prota’s architectural, structural, civil, geotechnical, wind and fire engineering teams proudly delivered entire design services of the plant project which has a capacity to produce 550,000 tons of phosphate rock per year.

Constructed on an area of 1 million 580 thousand square meters, the integrated fertilizer facility, consisting of 5 main factories and 12 auxiliary production facilities, was built by Eti A.S., a subsidiary company of Cengiz Holding. The Mazidagi Fertilizer plant will generate all the power it needs and it is anticipated that 85% of its raw material requirement will be met from within Turkey. The plant’s initial share of the fertilizer market will be 20%. Being the only fertilizer plant in the region, it will have an annual production of 750,000 tons of fertilizer, 200,000 tons of DAP and 550,000 tons of NP, meeting the entire fertilizer requirements of the Harran Plain.
