Seka Paper Museum is Ready to Open

Turkey's first and the world's largest paper museum, SEKA Paper Museum, which was established by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in an effort to preserve and keep alive industrial heritage, was inaugurated on 06.11. 2016 with a ceremony overseen by Minister of National Defense Fikri Işık and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu.

The museum has been established on over 12,345 square meters of land and features 19 different exhibition venues. The museum holds machinery and equipment used in paper production since the factory opened its doors more than 80 years ago. Furthermore, a total of five printing machines were repaired in order to be displayed at the museum.

In 2011, Prota Engineering performed design services of the museum along with the preparation of technical specifications, bills of quantities and cost estimates.
