Antalya Muratpaşa Research and Training Hospital
Antalya Training and Research Hospital is comprised of three blocks. Each block are designed in rectangular form. Building loads with respect to the use of purpose are applied by considering the architectural design constraints. Building system is therefore selected as beam slab floor acting in one and two directions. Slab thicknesses are anticipated as 15 cm at upper floors while it is found 20 cm. at +0.00 level which is on the earth fill. Total of 443 numbers of seismic isolators are used in the building. These isolators are placed on the columns ascending from 0.00 level. Anchored system solution is selected for the areas finishing at 0.00 levels.
Specific design earthquake spectrum of Design Basis Earthquake (DBE) with 475 years of return period and 10 % probability of exceedance in 50 years is used for the section designs, and spectrum of Maximum Credible Earthquake (MCE) is used for the determination of lateral displacement limits of the isolators.
